At Posh Belly, we really strive to offer the best service for expecting mothers and recently anointed moms in town. In order to serve our customers, we have created a Facebook page to keep everyone up to date about our products, our services, and our in-store events.

Before the store and before teaching, I used to work for an up-and-coming Virginia band. At the time, their shows were free and I had to drag my friends to see them. Eventually, they became more and more popular with the support of dedicated fans. Word spread from person to person; people brought their friends and eventually the band's fan base grew so big that they could no longer play at small clubs. Now, thanks to the support of their fans, they pack giant stadiums. You may have heard of them... the Dave Matthews Band. They credit their success to their fans and we, at Posh Belly, feel the same. We love our current fan group and appreciate you spreading the word about the boutique. Likewise, we encourage everyone else to become a fan to help spread the word about our locally owned maternity and baby boutique. As a fan, you will be updated on a regular basis about all things Posh Belly, including special events and promotions.

We've been on Facebook for quite some time, but wanted to extend a formal invitation to all of our friends, new and old, to "become a fan." We really appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you in the boutique sometime soon.

Summer Clearance SALE

It's hard to believe that our fall merchandise is already starting to arrive. In order to make room, we are hosting a major spring/summer clearance sale. All summer items are 30-50% off. This includes summer dresses, shorts, capris, tees and tops, and bathing suits. It also includes all summer children's clothes, as well as a few items from our year-round basics collection. Even select diaper bags and baby accessories are on sale. Sizes are limited, so it's best to stop by the store to take advanage of this sale as soon as possible. the twins have arrived

Just wanted to thank everyone for all of the well wishes. The boys were born on Sunday, June 7th and are doing great. It's been an interesting few weeks and I hope to head back to work, perhaps with twins in hand, sometime soon. In the meantime, I hope all is well and look forward to seeing you all back at the boutique.

June MaterniTEA was another great success

We just wanted to thank all of our sponsors for helping make our second MaterniTEA party such a great success. With approximately 30 guests in attendance, we gathered to hear guest speaker Jenny Simpson discuss what happens in the first few weeks of life after birth. Guests were also pampered with free massages, delicious food, and lots of give-aways worth more than $6000! That's right, six thousand dollars in gifts and discounts. In addition, we were happy to extend a special discount in the store to all of our guests and were happy to see everyone leave with bags of goods and goodies!

Thanks again to everyone that participated. We hope to see you at our next tea party scheduled for September 22nd.

Spring has arrived!

We are pleased to continue our winter clearance sale until all of our fall and winter merchandise is gone. Our stock is limited, but we do have a few long-sleeve tees, cords, sweaters, and jackets left at discounts up to 70% off. We hope to clear out all merchandise to make room for all of the wonderful spring items that have already started to arrive. our first MaterniTEA party

Posh Belly is pleased to announce our first ever Maternitea Party to be held Tuesday , March 24th at the boutique. Offered each trimester, tea parties will be fun and informative gatherings offered to our customers, while giving them a chance to get together with other moms and moms-to-be. Attendees will hear from local expert speakers and be pampered with yummy food, gifts, samples, complimentary massages, and more. The parties are free and open to anyone interested in attending. Space is limited, however, so call to reserve your seat today (740-POSH).

Each tea party will feature local expert guest speakers. Topics will vary and shall include newborn nuances, how to choose the best childcare for your family, the benefits and methods of infant massage, and finding a friendly pediatrician, just to name a few! Our first guest speaker is Richmond's own super doula, Kathy Stewart, who will discuss birth plans and beyond. In addition, to the lecture series, we will offer a special shopping hour to our guests with discounts on the total purchase, in addition to huge markdowns on our remaining fall and winter merchandise. And no party would be complete without door prizes and gift bags for all.

In order to shower our guests with some of our favorite products, we have teamed up with many of our local and national vendors. Gifts and giveaways include free portrait sitting sessions, baby clothes and layette, organic skincare products, rattles, bibs and burp cloths, organizers, diaper bag tags, and much, much more. We appreciate our partners’ support and their generous donations that have helped to make these events possible.

Winter Clearance

You know what amazes me? Spring starts shipping as early as December. Maybe it's because Maternity fashion wants to stay in step with regular women's fashion; maybe it's to give us hope of warmer days; or maybe it is because most of the maternity manufacturers are located in California and Florida where such clothing would be needed and appropriate. It makes it tough though to find a good sweater or pair of cords come March when we still might see snow (granted it would just be a flurry these days, but it really used to snow inches in Richmond in March when I was a kid). Why am I talking about shipping dates? Well, spring is arriving and so are the clothes. We are starting to receive new items for mom and baby every day! So in order to make room, it is time for us to clear out all of our remaining winter stock. If you haven't had a chance to take advantage of our recent sales, now is the time.
